Borderlands Transition From GameSpy to Steamworks

Due to the termination of GameSpy’s matchmaking service, Borderlands (PC) went offline on May 31st, 2014. This interruption of online play is expected to last several weeks, with an update integrating Steamworks anticipated to arrive during the summer of 2014.

This service interruption will not impact offline single player gameplay, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In addition, we have received many requests from fans who own editions of Borderlands PC that did not include an activation code in the packaging, but instead had disc-based activation. Our partners at 2K are working on a solution for these cases, and will post more details and instructions to their Knowledge Base (http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us) closer to the release of the Steamworks update for Borderlands (PC).”
